Designed to improve participant knowledge and practice across a broad spectrum of topics, this symposium features presentations from Jefferson Health and University leaders and physicians, as well as alumni physicians.

Successful Completion
To successfully complete this activity, the required evaluation must be completed no later than Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Thereafter, the evaluation will no longer be available and credits will not be issued. No refunds will be offered for failure to complete the required evaluation by the stated deadline.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, healthcare team members will be able to:

  1. Evaluate recent advances in gastrointestinal treatments.
  2. Analyze the complexities of organ transplantation, including donor-recipient matching and ethical considerations in decision-making for transplant procedures.
  3. Apply gender-specific medical knowledge to promote comprehensive care.
  4. Evaluate differing viewpoints on controversial medical topics using evidence-based reasoning.
  5. Apply clinical expertise with empathy, communication, and leadership skills to create a holistic approach to patient care.
  6. Apply technical skills in performing key medical procedures while adhering to safety protocols and best practices.

Exhibitor Rules

  • Exhibitor is not providing commercial support for this educational activity. Exhibitor is purchasing exhibit space.
  • Exhibits are intended for informational purposes, products should not be sold onsite or through the virtual exhibit hall.
  • TJU and the exhibitor acknowledge and agree that the exhibitor may be subject to Section 6002 of the Affordable Care Act, which added Section 1128G to the Social Security Act, and its implementing regulations codified in 42 CFR 402 &403 (Collectively the Sunshine Act). Exhibiting companies are solely responsible for collecting any information about actions within their exhibit space that constitutes a payment or transfer of value to a covered participant, which is required to reported under the Sunshine Act.

 

In-Person Exhibitors

  • Exhibitor activities are restricted to the allocated space at the conference site. Distribution of educational/promotional materials by the exhibitor is limited to their booth in the designated exhibit area. Distribution of these materials may not be done anywhere else in the activity area, in the activity meeting space, or at the entrances to activity meeting spaces.
  • All exhibits must be tabletop or portable in nature.
  • Photography by exhibitors that includes photos of the overall conference and/or attendees is prohibited.
  • Exhibitors may observe educational sessions but must refrain from participating in the activity.
  • No recordings of the scientific sessions on behalf of the exhibitor's company is permitted.
  • All displays must enter/exit the hotel through the receiving entrance and/or security office (at the loading dock). Delivery and pick-up times is the responsibility of the exhibitor and must be coordinated with the hotel in advance.

Cancellation

Should TJU cancel this activity for any reason, TJU will not be responsible for any airfare, hotel, and/or other cost incurred by exhibitors. It is suggested the exhibitors purchase their own travel insurance.

Refunds

  • Request for exhibitor refund must be submitted in writing at least two weeks prior to the start date of the activity. No refund will be given after this period. Cancellations received prior to the two-week cancellation date will incur a 10% administrative fee charge.
  • Exhibitors who fail to attend the conference are responsible for the entire exhibitor fee.
  • All refunds will be processed after the conclusion of the conference.
