Overview

This active learning format will provide participants the opportunity to examine challenging clinical cases from multiple perspectives and gain an in depth understanding of how experienced healthcare providers approach difficult patient care decisions.

The meeting will review evolving strategies in total neoadjuvant chemotherapy for rectal cancer, describe the role of circulating tumor DNA in treatment decisions, discuss appropriate utilization of immunotherapy and targeted therapies in colorectal cancer, recognize the role of surgical management for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer, and identify the use of radiation therapy in rectal cancers. This meeting is designed to provide attendees to learn more about the options and advances in treating colorectal cancers.

Successful Completion

 To successfully complete this activity, the required evaluation must be completed no later than Wednesday, March 24, 2024. Thereafter, the evaluation will no longer be available and credits will not be issued. No refunds will be offered for failure to complete the required evaluation by the stated deadline.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, healthcare team members will be able to:

  1. Review evolving strategies in total neoadjuvant chemotherapy for rectal cancer.
  2. Recognize the indications and outcomes for immunotherapies and biologic therapies in colorectal cancer.
  3. Identify the role of radiation therapy in the treatment of rectal cancer.
  4. Describe the utility of circulating tumor DNA in the treatment of colorectal cancer.
  5. Discuss surgical management for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer.

Cancellation Policy

Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing and received in the Office of CPD two weeks prior to the start date of the course. There will be no refunds after this period.*  Cancellations notified before the two week time frame will incur a 25% administration fee (with a minimum of $20).  Registrants who fail to attend the conference are responsible for the entire fee.  All refunds will be processed after the conference.  The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone this course due to unforeseen circumstances.  In the event of cancellation or postponement, the University will refund registration fees, but is not responsible for related costs or expenses to participants, including cancellation fees assessed by hotels, airlines or travel agencies.

  • After February 1, 2024 no refund will be given.
