Overview

This course will introduce the equipment and techniques needed to incorporate this minimally invasive procedure into practice.

Lively interactive case-based discussions from expert faculty and intensive hands-on cadaveric dissection* highlight this annual program.

Participants will examine the advantages of sialendoscopy and identify patients for whom this minimally invasive procedure would be most appropriate.  Specific strategies to incorporate sialendoscopy and hybrid techniques into practice will be identified.

*Space is limited for the optional hands-on dissection lab.  Be sure to register early!

This course is specifically designed for healthcare professionals in Otolaryngology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery who perform, or wish to perform, sialendoscopy in their practices.

BACK IN 2022! This course will offer optional pre-conference modules for CE credit. Please refer to the conference agenda for more information.  Access to these modules will be available to registrants closer to the meeting date.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Develop strategies to treat and manage salivary gland disorders.
  2. Examine the advantages of sialendoscopy in patients for whom this minimally invasive procedure would be most appropriate.
  3. Use current evidence-based practice guidelines in specific strategies to incorporate sialendoscopy and hybrid techniques into practice.
  4. Discuss the algorithm for management of stones based on size and location.
  5. Analyze the proper instrument handling and surgical techniques in sialendoscopy.
  6. Formulate the appropriate management plans based on potential complications of sialendscopy and hybrid approaches.

Cancellation Policy
Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing and received in the Office of CPD two weeks prior to the start date of the course.  There will be no refunds after this period.*  Cancellations notified before the two week time frame will incur a 25% administration fee (with a minimum of $20).  Registrants who fail to attend the conference are responsible for the entire fee.  All refunds will be processed after the conference.  The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone this course due to unforeseen circumstances.  In the event of cancellation or postponement, the University will refund registration fees, but is not responsible for related costs or expenses to participants, including cancellation fees assessed by hotels, airlines or travel agencies. 
*Registration fees will be refunded less a 15% administration fee to international conference registrants who are unable to secure a travel visa. Registrants must provide proof of visa denial.
