Daniel A. Monti, MD, MBA, The Ellen and Ron Caplan Chair of the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Science and CEO, Marcus Institute of Integrative Health at Thomas Jefferson University has designed this multidisciplinary program to offer participants a unique opportunity to learn from leading experts in the field of Mind-Body Medicine. Participants will learn about the current evidence and implementation techniques for various integrative approaches to mind-body medicine.

Successful Completion

To successfully complete this activity, the required evaluation must be completed no later than Thursday, June 6, 2024. Thereafter, the evaluation will no longer be available and credits will not be issued. No refunds will be offered for failure to complete the required evaluation by the stated deadline.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, healthcare team members will be able to:

  1. Construct the necessary framework for a patient-centered approach using the latest mind-body therapies.
  2. Identify appropriate mind-body treatment modalities.
  3. Examine the current evidence in support of various modalities in mind-body medicine.
  4. Evaluate the practical integration of mind-body practices into the office visit.
  5. Experiment with multiple mind-body treatment modalities in professional practice.

Pre-Conference Modules
The following modules are 1.0 credit each for all credit types.

  • Depression: Conventional and Integrative Approaches to Treatment: Current Evidence
  • Integrative Approach to Anxiety
  • Feed Your Head: Dietary Interventions that Support Cognitive Function
  • Mind-Body Approaches to Cardiovascular Health This module qualifies for PA Patient Safety and Risk credit.
  • Eat More, Weigh Less

The following module is .75 credit for all credit types.

  • Understanding Addiction: What Evolution Can Teach Us

Day 1: 7.25 credit for all credit types
Day 2: 7.0 credit for all credit types

In support of improving patient care, Thomas Jefferson University is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
