Overview

The inaugural Wills Eye and Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals Orbital Tumor Symposium features critical deliberations regarding patient cases, clinical findings, differential diagnoses, and management plan options. Participants will examine cases from multiple perspectives and gain an in-depth understanding of how experienced health care providers approach difficult patient care decisions.

Keynote lectures from leading practitioners provide evidence for care decision discussed in panels which will increase confidence in diagnostic and treatment decision making for participants. This innovative course will be of interest to clinicians treating periorbital tumors and malignancy which includes ophthalmologists, otolaryngologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, dermatologists, radiologists, and trainees.

 

Successful Completion
To successfully complete this activity, the required evaluation must be completed no later than Monday, June 5, 2023. Thereafter, the evaluation will no longer be available and credits will not be issued. No refunds will be offered for failure to complete the required evaluation by the stated deadline.

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  2. Apply the multidisciplinary approach to managing patients with orbital tumors.
  3. Explain diagnostic and therapeutic options available for the treatment and management of orbital tumors.
  4. Formulate the appropriate management plans based on pathology of orbital tumors.
  5. Describe the latest surgical techniques and systemic therapies for advanced orbital malignancies.

Cancellation Policy
Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing and received in the Office of CPD two weeks prior to the start date of the course. There will be no refunds after this period.* Cancellations notified before the two week time frame will incur a 25% administration fee (with a minimum of $20).  Registrants who fail to attend the conference are responsible for the entire fee.  All refunds will be processed after the conference.  The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone this course due to unforeseen circumstances.  In the event of cancellation or postponement, the University will refund registration fees, but is not responsible for related costs or expenses to participants, including cancellation fees assessed by hotels, airlines, or travel agencies. 

*Registration fees will be refunded less a 15% administration fee to international conference registrants who are unable to secure a travel visa. Registrants must provide proof of visa denial.

  • Prior to the deadline of Friday, April 14, 2023, a refund will be given minus a $200 administration fee.
  • After  Friday, April 14, 2023, no refund will be given.
  • Exhibitors who are absent from the conference will not receive a refund.
