Jefferson Abington Department of Surgery Morbidity and Mortality (2026-2027)

The surgical resident presenting provides information about patient's pre-, intra- and post-op course. Discussion then occurs where attendees can ask questions, make comments and evaluate surgical care. Data is collected. There is collaboration with all members of the department of surgery.

2. Improve patient safety and outcomes.
3. Promote ethical integrity and transparency.

In support of improving patient care, Thomas Jefferson University is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians: This educational activity is designated for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ^TM . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
