Overview

Academic weekly regular continuing medical education activity of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior involves a weekly formal presentation of 45 minutes followed by 15 minutes of questions and discussions.

Presenters are full-time faculty members of the department, volunteer faculty members, and regional and national guest experts. Senior resident and fellow presentations are also part of the series.

Topics span areas of clinical and academic psychiatry including diagnosis, psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, patient safety, public health, and medical and psychiatric education. Specific clinical topic areas include presentations from faculty in the following departmental services and divisions: addiction psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, hospital consultation service, emergency psychiatry, inpatient acute service, geriatric psychiatry, mood disorders and women's mental health.

Two special endowed lectureships are also part of this series.
