Overview

This one day, in-person conference, now in its forty second year, will provide participants with the tools that can readily be implemented in daily practice. The program will feature presentations on esophageal/gastroduodenal disorders, small bowel and colonic disorders, advances in gastroenterology, and liver disease.

Learning interests will be matched with updates on the latest clinical trial data, current and emerging treatment strategies, and case-based panel discussions. Gastroenterologists, internist, surgeons, primary care providers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment and management of patients with GI disorders are invited to attend.

Successful Completion
To successfully complete this activity, the required evaluation must be completed no later than Friday, October 18, 2024. Thereafter, the evaluation will no longer be available and credits will not be issued. No refunds will be offered for failure to complete the required evaluation by the stated deadline.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, healthcare team members will be able to:

  1. Utilize the newest approaches to managing esophageal and gastroduodenal disorders.
  2. Develop appropriate management plans for small bowel and colonic disorders.
  3. Discuss current and future colorectal cancer screening and surveillance strategies.
  4. Assess key advances in gastroenterology, their clinical impact and implications for current and future research.
  5. Describe interprofessional team strategies for improving care coordination and communication to improve patient outcomes.

It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Cancellation Policy

Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing and received in the Office of CPD two weeks prior to the start date of the course. There will be no refunds after this period.*  Cancellations notified before the two week time frame will incur a 25% administration fee (with a minimum of $20).  Registrants who fail to attend the conference are responsible for the entire fee.  All refunds will be processed after the conference.  The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone this course due to unforeseen circumstances.  In the event of cancellation or postponement, the University will refund registration fees, but is not responsible for related costs or expenses to participants, including cancellation fees assessed by hotels, airlines or travel agencies.
