Varsha Jain, MD PhD joined our department as an attending Clinician in the Department of Radiation Oncology. She specializes in the treatment of cancer and benign diseases of multiple body sites including brain, thoracic, gastrointestinal, skin, bone, genitourinary, gynecologic and head and neck.
She recently completed her residency in Radiation Oncology from University of Pennsylvania where she gained expertise in the use of intensity modulated therapy, image guided radiation therapy, stereotactic body radiation therapy, radiosurgery and brachytherapy. She also holds a PhD in bioengineering from University of Pennsylvania, where she also completed her Medical School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering and Bioengineering and Applied Mathematics & Statistics in 2007 from the State University of New York.
She has peer-reviewed publications on techniques and methods of MR based oximetry and clinical papers covering a large breadth of malignancies including melanoma, soft tissue sarcomas, breast cancer, endometrial cancer and more.
