Jan Eberth, PhD, FACE is a Professor and Chair of Health Management and Policy at Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health. Her research focuses on identifying social and structural barriers to accessing high-quality cancer care in the U.S., particularly among rural and minoritized populations. Most of this work focuses on disparities in early detection and treatment for commonly diagnosed cancers including lung and colorectal cancer. Dr. Eberth is a Fellow and Past President of the American College of Epidemiology, Vice-Chair of the National Lung Cancer Roundtable Provider Engagement and Outreach Task Group, and member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network’s Rural Cancer Workgroup. In addition, she provides scientific advisement and legislative advocacy for the National Rural Health Association, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, and GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer. At Drexel University, Jan serves as co-lead for the Faculty Development Core of the Drexel FIRST Program, a program designed to create sustainable institutional changes to promote inclusive excellence and faculty diversity in higher education. One of her most prized roles is her role as mother to two amazing children, Asher and Cora Eberth, who are crazy about sports and mint chocolate chip ice cream.
